Westlife 'Turn Around Tour 2004'

I arrived at about 3 o’clock (afternoon ;)) at the arena. I didn’t plan to go early, cos I was still kinda pissed at them about cancelling the concert of the 5th of June Anyway when I arrived at 3 o’clock there were already some people outside of course, but when I saw one of the busses coming in, I was like: okay, I’d rather wait for the guys 2 arrive at the arena, cos I’ll never b able 2 get front row anyway. So that’s what I did!
At around 4 o’clock there was a taxi coming in with Nicky and Georgina in it! They had to walk about 10 meters from their car to a glass door. Nicky and Georgina got out the car, Nicky said immediately: ‘how are ye?!’ to the fans. It was brilliant! They had 2 wait for the glass door to open though and I was just standing right behind them! I touched Nicky, lol! He had a really soft vest on ;) I could see Georgina’s face in the reflection of the glass door, she was having a huge, proud smile on her face like: hehe, that’s my man! They were lovely!
About half an hour later a big bus arrived with Kian, Mark, Shane and Gillian in it. The buss stopped half inside, so we didn’t get to see much of them, but it was cool anyway :) What was kinda funny was that one of the security guys looked me straight into my eyes when the bus just came in (while there were about 20 other girls aswell) and said: AND YOU STAY BACK THERE!!! And I was like: ok... I will hehe. Damn... why me?!

After that we decided to go and find a place in the huge queue. When we just got there I phoned one of my on line friends that came there about 4 o’clock and decided to go to her just to say hello and have a lil chat about my Nicky&Georgina meeting. As soon as I got there I told her about it and said we were all the way back at the big queue. And she was like: well just stay here then! But I didn’t think that was really fair until I saw one of the girls that was also waiting for the busses a few lines be4 me! So I phoned my best friend and said she had to come to me and that’s what she did of course, lol!

We didn’t have to wait that long anymore outside, the doors opened around 6.40 I think. We got in pretty quickly, though that stupid security guy wouldn’t leave my best friend alone with her bag ('I feel something round and hard' 'That’s my umbrella' Gets the umbrella out of the bag... 'Still feel something round and hard') Anyway finally we got in, we had never been to this arena before, so it was all very new for us. We had to go through this cinema like door. As soon as we got through that door it was so damn dark! I could hardly see anything and just followed the people that were walking in front of me, lol. As soon as I did see something... I realised that I had quite good places after all! All thanks to that sweet friend of mine! There were about 9 rows of people in front of me but it didn’t feel like that! Especially not when I took a look at all the people that were behind me and if you thought of the fact that I joined the queue so damn late!
Anyway me and my best friend both put our ‘concertshoes’ on as soon as were inside. We both have got shoes with very high soles, which we call our concertshoes, hehe Anyway, I was really happy that I took them with me, cos I’m already pretty tall myself and with these shoes on I could just really see over all the people in front of me! So great!
At 9 o’clock the support act was doing his thing. We had a guy from Holland (actually from my home town, lol) it was nice! Really singalong songs, was just good for the atmosphere! That guy was there for about 20 minutes and at half past 9 it was showtimeeeee!
In those 20 minutes I saw Gillian sitting on the balcony! Just in the crowd! And when I took a better look I saw Georgina there aswell! It was fun to see that they were both there just between the fans!
Then the concert began at 9.30. It was that feeling that goes through your body when you realise that the guys will be on that very stage in front of you I can’t describe that feeling There is so much adrenaline in your body, its unbelievable! The whole show started with this cartoon. I really really liked that a lot! And I was immediately like: I’m sure there will be a dvd from this tour! I loved the cartoon, it was really cool!
I really liked the way the guys were all coming up. All on their own, all with their own cool dance and all on their own piece of stage, I really thought that was so cool! I just couldn’t stop screaming, it was just so amazing!
I really loved every single second of the concert! I loved the way they performed Flying without wings and Uptown Girl. With that piano it was just so touching and emotional, I really really loved it! And of course I loved the fact that Shane was singing Holland Girl instead of Uptown girl, hehe. I also love My girl. The fact that they were singing that without Bryan made me so proud of them! And I so had to laugh about the cartoon dancing girls on the background!

Owh and of course always one of the highlights of the show.: the medley! I must say that I never thought they could beat last years medley cos that one was just so damn amazing, but this one was sooooo damn great aswell! I really loved the dances the guys did in it, I love the Friends song and .. I actually loved all the songs.. it was just brilliant! They really proved they could be just as crazy without Bryan, lol! Those expressions on Shane and Kians faces, that great dancing talent of Nicky and then mark, hehe I couldn’t stop laughing when I realised that it took him so much energy to get those dances right! But he did a good job, lol!

Then at about 45 minutes into the concert suddenly something big came down from the ceiling and I was like: what is that?!!! Is that okay?! Was it planned that that thing was coming down or should I start running by now? Well it was planned.. hehe it was a piece of stage! When they were walking on it they were like walking just above my head! A great great experience! During ‘Obvious’ Kian suddenly realised that Gillian and Georgina were sitting on the balcony, like I saw before So he tapped Mark on his shoulder and Mark looked at the balcony and waved to Gillian and Georgina! Whaha, it was so cool to see that happen!
Kian sent us home with the message that we should all keep in the back of our minds: Westlife are still unbreakable!!! And that was just so lovely to hear him saying that!
Close to the end of the concert the guys sang ‘My love’ and a girl had to come on the stage. I was pissed about that.. I just cant stand that it makes me damn jealous. The funny thing was actually that Nicky asked her for her fave song and she said: ‘Close your eyes’. So Nicky closed his eyes and asked her again: ‘What’s your favourite song?’ And the girl said again (a bit confused..) ‘Close your eyes’ Whahaa, the girl didn’t understand his joke!
During their last song, Mandy, Nicky was thrown a Dutch football cap and he put it on his head, whaha! It was funny, especially cos Ireland had to play football against Holland the day after!
This really has been my first concert that I really feel like I’ve been there. I can remember so much more than of the other concerts, that is just really cool!
A thing that you all should know reading this I was quite pissed at the guys cos of what happened the last months. One of the things was them cancelling the second planned Dutch concert and the other thing was a story about Nicky that I heard. He was said to be arrogant and I (with my stupid head!!) believed the story. I think it was sort of meant to be that it happened that I met Nicky and Georgina, cos I do know now that you should never believe what other people say about the lads when it comes to them being arrogant. I met the guys last year and Nicky again this year and they are NOT arrogant! At least not towards me. If you’re nice to them, they will be nice to you aswell! And I just hope people don’t be as silly as I was, cos they’re really nice guys! And when the concert was over the guys just got my heart back, it’s amazing! I really really love them again and I haven’t been feeling this happy for months!
