Um kurz vor 1 standen plötzlich alle Fans an so einer Absperrung, an der 'angeblich' die Jungs vorbeikommen sollten, wenn sie in den Cinedom rein kommen. Es waren auch eine Menge TV-Kameras da, und immer wieder sangen Fans irgendwas, oder kreischten. Sie schrien Mark, Nicky, Shane und alles durcheinander... Aber keine Spur von Westlife. Für die Kameraleute war das natürlich ganz toll und die haben gleich alles aufgenommen... Zum Glück stand ich da nicht so weit vorne :P Wobei ich wahrscheinlich auch nur gekrächzt hätte, weil ich ziemlich erkältet war und kaum Stimme hatte.

Irgendwann wurde mir das dann zu doof da zu warten, weil man auch schon in den Saal rein konnte. Ich stand ja sowiso nicht so weit vorne, also hätte ich eh nichts gesehen *lol* Also bin ich dann in den Kinosaal gegangen und habe gleich meinen Platz gesucht :) Hatte nämlich einen in der ersten Reihe ergattern können, etwa in der Mitte des ganzen Saales. Nach und nach füllte der sich dann auch und irgendwann waren alle da, die vorher an der Absperrung gestanden hatten: Westlife waren nicht vorbeigekommen, und angeblich hätte das auch nie jemand gesagt...

Ziemlich bald fing dann die DVD an, und einige Fans fingen besonders laut an zu kreischen und konnten sich die ganze Zeit beruhigen... Warum saßen die ausgerechnet in meiner Nähe? War ja schlimm *lol* Ich hab zwar auch mitgesungen, aber das ist ja auch besser als kreischen, oder?
Naja, jedenfalls war es gar nicht so schlimm in der ersten Reihe. Ich dachte, man bekommt da ne Genickstarre oder so, weil man so lange nach oben schauen muss, aber eigentlich war es ganz normal. Ich brauchte nur geradeaus schauen und konnte alles sehen :)

Sie haben nicht die ganze DVD gezeigt, aber immerhin die beiden verschiedenen Edits von 'When you are looking like that' (wobei das Lied dann mittendrin aufhörte...) und dann haben sie weitergemacht mit 'If I let you go' und 'Tonight'. 'Flying without Wings haben sie ausgelassen. Dann haben sie die nächsten 3 Songs wieder gezeigt (My Love, Bop Bop Baby und Queen of my heart). Aber 'To be with you' und die 5 Solo-Songs, haben sie dann gleich wieder ausgelassen. Dafür haben sie dann glaube ich den Rest der DVD zuende laufen lassen. Ich denke sie waren etwas unter Zeitdruck, und zeigten deshalb nicht mehr alles von der DVD.

Aber auch wenn sie nicht die komplette DVD gezeigt haben, und mir das Gekreische etwas zu laut war, fand ich's doch ziemlich geil, die DVD auf so einer riesigen Leinwand zu sehen. Was ich allerdings weniger toll fand, waren die ganzen TV-Kameras und Journalisten, die einem vor der Nase rumgerannt sind und ständig Bilder oder Aufnahmen von den Fans gemacht haben, während die die DVD angesehen haben. Da ich ja nunmal in der ersten Reihe saß. (oder hinterher auch stand, weil ALLE im Kino aufgestanden sind, also bin ich auch aufgestanden) hatten sie es wohl besonders auf mich und meine Freundin abgesehen... Einer dieser Fotografen saß die ganze Zeit 2 Meter vor uns, knipste ständig Bilder und kam immer näher... *Hilfe* Hoffentlich will die Bilder niemand *lol* Ich schaue bestimmt voll verängstigt...

Naja, irgendwie ging die Zeit dann ziemlich schnell um und die DVD war zu Ende. Dann kamen Westlife und stellten sich zunächst vor die Leinwand. Die ganzen TV-Leute und Fotografen stürzten sich gleich auf Westlife und knipsten wild. Dann gingen sie etwas weiter zurück. Sie trugen alle ziemlich dunkle Sachen... nur Kian eine helle Jacke. Nicky war es glaub ich etwas zu sonnig in dem Kinosaal. Jedenfalls hat er die meiste Zeit seine Sonnenbrille aufgehabt...

Eine Frau namens 'Tina' sagte dann den Jungs, dass die Fans eine Überraschung für sie vorbereitet hätten. Dann sangen alle im Kinosaal 'Kings of our hearts', welches ein Paar Fans (Sorry, ich weiß leider gerade nicht mehr genau wer) umgeschrieben hatten extra für diesen Tag. Westlife schien das aber sichtlich zu gefallen und an einigen Textstellen fingen sie schon an zu grinsen :) Aber alles im allem voll süß :)

Danach haben sie 'Hey Whatever' a capella gesungen. Und da die Fans für sie 'Kings of our hearts' gesungen hatten, so sagten sie, würden sie jetzt auch noch 'Queen of my heart' singen. Das taten sie dann auch.

Danach machten sie es sich bequem und setzten sich auf die Bühne. Tina stellte den Jungs nach und nach 10 Fragen.
Ich weiß nicht ob ich die noch alle hinbekomme :P Aber ich werde mal mein Bestes versuchen.

Mark wurde gefragt, was das Beste daran ist ein Popstar zu sein, und er sagte eine Menge :P Habe leider nicht alles verstanden, aber er hat Mariah Carey erwähnt und Stevie Wonder :)

Nicky wurde gefragt, welche Farbe seine Unterwäsche heute hat. Worauf er dann erstmal nachsehen musste und seine Boxershorts halb aus seiner Hose raus holte. Ich war der Meinung sie wäre blau, aber irgendwie hat Nicky gesagt, dass es Schwarz wäre. Na wenn Nicky das sagt: Dann war sie eben schwarz :)
Außerdem hat er noch gesagt, dass er normalerweise gar keine Unterwäsche trägt *haha* Kleiner Scherzkeks.

Bryan wurde gefragt, was er sich als letztes gekauft hat. Das war dann glaub ich die Greatest Hits CD von REM.

Kian wurde glaube ich gefragt, ob er mit einem deutschen Mädchen ausgehen würde, oder sowas. Ich weiß nur noch, dass er meinte, dass er die deutschen Mädchen sehr sexy findet.

Shane wurde gefragt, wer er sein will, wenn er für einen Tag jemand anders sein könnte. Er sagte, dass er gerne Elvis wäre :)

Mark wurde gefragt wann, wo, ob?! sie in Deutschland auf Tour kommen. Er sagte, dass sie auf jeden Fall kommen und versuchen so viele Konzerte wie möglich zu geben. Er sagte, dass in den deutschen Zeitungen oder auf ihrer Homepage demnächst mehr darüber stehen wird. Ich weiß nicht ob es Mark war, oder Nicky, aber irgendwer meinte, dass sie in Oberhausen spielen wollen.

Dann wurde Nicky gefragt, was das verrückteste Geschenk gewesen ist, was er jemals von einem Fan bekommen hat. Tja, aber leider weiß das jetzt immer noch niemand, weil niemand die Antwort verstanden hat :P

Dann kam irgendwas auf die Bühne geflogen. War aber ausserhalb der reichweite der Jungs. Bryan bekam dann die nächste Frage: Was machst du an Weihnachten?
Bei der Frage bin ich mir jetzt nicht ganz sicher... Jedenfalls war die Antwort, dass er die Zeit mit seiner Familie verbringen wird.

Einige der TV-Leute hoben das auf, was da geflogen kam und gaben es Shane. Der spielte ein wenig mit dieser 'Tube' rum und las laut vor: 'Westlife Shower Gel'. Tja, und dann lachten sie alle :) So goldig :) Das Gel muss sehr interessant gewesen sein, und wurde gleich an Mark weitergereicht und lenkte auch Nicky noch ab :P

Dann kam noch eine Frage an Kian, die aber irgendwie dabei unter ging. Ich weiß weder die frage noch die Antwort. Bloß das Wort 'Deutschland' hab ich noch verstanden...

Shane wurde dann auch noch gefragt, welches sein Lieblingslied vom neuen Album ist. Er hat zwei: On my shoulder und Mandy. Er wollte dann von den Fans wissen, welches ihr Lieblingssong wäre, aber da alle wild durcheinander riefen, verstand er wohl nicht viel. Mein Lieblingssong bisher ist ja Thank you, aber das ist bei ihm wohl nicht angekommen, dabei saß er doch bloß 3 Meter von mir entfernt :( Naja, er hat dann 'Thanks' gesagt und mit seinem Daumen nach oben gezeigt.

Nach dem Interview gingen Westlife wieder raus, und es wurden 'Verhaltensregeln' oder so durchgegeben. Die Autogrammstunde *hust* sollte nicht im Saal stattfinden. Dann haben natürlich alle so schnell wie möglich versucht raus zu kommen. Dabei brach natürlich das totale Chaos aus...

Jedenfalls standen dann irgendwann alle Fans auf einem Haufen und man ließ nach und nach immer einige Leute eine Treppe rauf laufen, wo es zu Westlife ging. Ich hatte nicht so viel Glück und stand etwa in der Mitte. Langsam, kaum merkbar ging es dann immer weiter nach vorne.
Meine Schwester kam schon nach 10 Minuten an und hatte ihre Autogramme. War mega glücklich und strahlte nur noch. Ja, ich wartete dann.. und wartete... und wartete... bis ich irgendwann auch an der Treppe angekommen war *Puh* Da konnte man endlich wieder Luft bekommen... Ich also schnell die Treppe rauf. Und was sagt man mir dann, kurz bevor man mich zu Westlife lässt? 'KEINE AUTOGRAMME, KEINE FOTOS.' Ich denk, will die mich jetzt verarschen? Keine Fotos, okay, das haben sie ja letztes Jahr auch gesagt bei der Autogrammstunde, aber: KEINE AUTOGRAMME??? Okay, also keine Autogramme. Hab mir schon die verzweifelten Versuche einiger Fans vor mir angesehen, die versucht haben trotzdem Sachen zum Unterschreiben hin zu legen. Westlife WOLLTEN auch unterschreiben, aber dann kamen die Securitys jedes mal, rissen ihnen die Sachen weg und hauten sie den Fans unter ihre Nase. Sowas von unfreundliche Securities... Mensch...

Ich habs also gar nicht mehr versucht. Ich meine, ich habe ja schon Autogramme, aber es wäre doch schön noch welche zu haben,oder? Jedenfalls habe ich dann allen nur die Hand gegeben. Was auch schon nicht leicht war...
Bryan hielt mir mehr oder weniger bereitwillig seine Hand hin und grinste mich schief an. ich also zurückgegrinst :P Dann kam Kian. Ich auch meine Hand hin, smile, weiter. Dann stand ich vor Nicky. Und wo schaut der Depp hin? Überall nur nicht auf mich. Ich: 'Hello?' Guckt der immer noch nicht *ts* 'Niiiiiccky!!!!!!' Endlich schaut er mich an und hält mir strahlend seine Hand hin. 'How are you doing?' fragte der dann noch. War ganz überrascht, weil er so deutlich gesprochen hat... Normalerweise sprechen alle Iren 'How are you doing' ja aus wie 'Hi du' *lol* Aber egal :P Hab dann gesagt: 'Fine, thanks' und ihn angelächelt *hehe*. Dann noch Shane die Hand, und Mark strahlt mich schon an, sobald ich vor ihm stehe und gibt mir auch die Hand. Voll die liebe Grinsekatze :)

Tja, dann wars so ziemlich vorbei. Man musste gleich auf der anderen Seite die Rolltreppe? oder warens Stufen? Jedenfalls musste man runter und konnte nichts mehr sehen. Etwa 200-300 Fans kamen noch nach mir, die dann statt einer Autogrammstunde wohl auch nur eine Shake-Hand-Stunde hatten. 10 Minuten später waren die alle durch und Westlife standen auf. Man konnte sie eine Etage höher noch vorbeilaufen sehen. Bryan, der ja dann 'Feierabend' hatte, hat sich gleich schon eine Zigarette angesteckt. Plötzlich waren sie dann auch weg. Bis 2 Minuten später Kian über das Geländer schaute, und alle anderen aus der Toilette wieder raus kamen *lol* Sie winkten aber nur nochmal schnell und dann waren sie wirklich weg, durch den Hinterausgang oder sowas.

Wir tranken noch was im Cinedom und fuhren dann irgendwann auch nach Hause...
Aber es war schon richtig cool :)

Westlife Fan Day in Cologne - 16th November 2003

We had been in the Cinedom since 11 am, but nothing important happened before. I met some people and we talked for hours... We just had to spent the time till Westlife will come :P

Shortly before 1 pm all the Fans stand behind some barrier, where the guys were supposed to come along later that day. There were a lot of TV-Cameras, and the Fans began to sing, and to scream. All at the same time, they shouted the names of the guys, and you could not understand one single word *haha* There was still no sign of Westlife. The TV-people liked all the screaming Fans, and they recorded it. Fortunately I was not standing very close to the cameras. *haha* But I would not have made a great noise as I was a bit ill (and still are).

Somewhen later, I didn't want to wait any longer, as you were already able to get into the Cinema hall. I was not standing in any of the first rows, so I would not have been able to see anything at all... So I decided to go into the Cinema hall, and looked for my place :) I had been able to get one in the first row, in the middle of the entire hall. maybe the best place you could get :P Really soon the entire hall became crowdier and crowdier. Then all the people came who had been standing at the barriers with me. Westlife did not come, and the securitys claimed they did not say Westlife were supposed to come along there...

Really soon they started to show the DVD, and some Fans began to scream and did not stop the whole show. Why did those Fans sit just beside or behind me?? Can't believe my luck *haha* I have to admit, I sang while they showed the concert, but that's better than screaming, isn't it?

I thought it would be really bad for my neck to sit in the first row, but it was perfect. My neck's still fine, as the screen was not sooo close and soooo high, so I had just to watch straight on, and could see everything.

They did not show the complete DVD. They started with 2 different Edits of When you're looking like that, but cut off the end. Then they showed the next 2 Songs, If I let you and and Tonight. but they did not show Flying without wings. They played 3 Acousting songs, but not To be with you, and they did not play the 5 solo songs. The rest after the solos, had been shown completely. But I think they had been under pressure by the time, so they decided not to show everything.

Also they did not show the complete DVD, and the screaming was unbelievable (if you see the fact Westlife had not even been there so far!!), I enjoyed it really much, to see the Concert on that big big screen. What I liked not was the fact the journnalists and TV-people were running around in front of the screen. They record the Fans while watching the DVD's. As I was sitting in first row (okay, standing at the end, but only because everybody else did) they seemed to like it, to make Photos of me and my friend. One of these Photographers was sitting 2 meters in front of us, was taking Pictures without stopping and always came nearer and nearer *helpme* I hope no Magazine wants to have his Pics...

But somehow the time passed by as nothing and the DVD was over. Then Westlife came and stand in front of the screen. All the TV-people and photographers were suddenly around them and the lightning of all the cameras was unbelievable :P It was really funny... except for the fact I could not see Westlife anymore *haha* Shortly after the TV-People went away, and everybody could see Westlife.

They had all been wearing dark clothes. Only Kian weared a bright jacket. i think it was too sunny for Nicky in the Cinema hall, as the did not want to take down his sunglasses, till the end.

A woman, named 'Tina' said to the guys, that the Fans have a surprise for them. So everybody in the Hall sang 'Kings of our hearts' to Westlife. Some Fans (I am not sure anymore which Fans) wrote kinda different Lyrics to that song, specially for this day.
Obviously Westlife seem to like this song :) And they all started to smile, it was really cute :)

After that, Westlife sang an a capella Version of Hey Whatever. And as the girls sang 'Kings of our hearts', so they said, they will also sing 'Queen of our hearts'. That was exactly what they did.

After that, they sit down on stage. (Still in front of the screen). Tina asked the guys 10 questions. I hope I can repeat it all for you... I am not sure, but i will give my best.

Mark was asked, what the best thing was that happened to him as Popstar. He said a lot, but I did not understand everything but he mentioned Mariah Carey and Stevie Wonder!

Nicky was asked, which color his underway has today. He did not know that off by heart, so he had to have a look :P He tried to get some of his Boxer shorts out of his trousers, and I couls see it *haha* I thought it was blue, but Nicky said into his mic that he wears 'black' underwear. If Nicky says that... okay, the underwear was black :P
Nicky adds, that normally he don't wear any underwear at all. You are such a funny guy Nicky, haha.

Bryan was asked what he bought last for himself. It was the Greatest Hits CD of REM.

Kian was asked, if he would ever meet a german girl, or something like that. I do only remember that he said, all the german girls are really sexy *smile*

Shane was asked who he would like to be, if he would be able to be another person for one day. He chose Elvis.

Mark was asked if? when? where? they will come on Tour next year in Germany. He said, they want to do as many concerts as possible and will definately come back next year. He add, that the next time the fans will be able to get more informations about the Tour on their official homepage and in german mags. I dunno of it was Mark, or Nicky, but somebody said, they will come to play in Oberhausen next year.
(But Nicky said that last year too, and it was not true...)

Nicky was asked what the craziest gift was so far, that a Fan hab given to him. I think nobody will ever know, as I dunno everybody who understand the answer :P

Then suddenly something was flying through the air. But it was out of reach for the Westlife guys and Bryan got the next question: What will you do on Christmas? I am not sure about the question but Bryan said, he want to spent the time with his family.

Some of the TV-people got the flying thing and gave it to Shane. It was a small tube, and Shane read the letters on that tube: Westlife Shower Gel. They all laughed, so nice :) The Gel must have been really interesting as it wandered to Mark and also got the attention of Nicky.

There was the next question for Kian. but somehow, nobody understand neither the question nor the answer. All I remember is that he used the word "germany"....

Shane was asked which song of the new album he liked the most. He chose 2: Mandy and On my shoulder. Then he wanted to know from the Fans, which is the song they like the most. My fave Song is Thank you at the moment, but I dunno all the new songs (5 are still missing) I said 'Thank you' as loud as I could, but I think he did not hear it, also i was just standing 3 meters away. he just said 'Thanx' and made thumbs up.

After the Interview Westlife went out of the Cinema hall, and Tina gave us some rules for the Signing Session *ahm* which should not be in the Cinema hall. So everybody wanted to get out of the hall as soon as possible, and there was kinda chaos...

In the end, all the Fans were standing in one big crowd and every few minutes some fans were allowed to go upstairs, to Westlife. I was not so fast and only got a place in the crowd, which was not very good, but almost in the middle. Sooner or later I got a bit closer to the stairs... My sister came to me after just 10 minutes. Happy, and smiling with the autographs in her hands. Yeah, and I waited, and waited... And then I was allowed to go to the steps, and go upstairs. There was more air to breathe, which was really good. Then, somebody said we are not allowed to take photos. I thought, okay, doesn't matter, I already took photos in the Cinema. Then the woman also said, we are not allowed to ask them for autographs. I thought 'What? No autographs? Why is this a signing session if I am not allowed to ask them for autographs??' I couldn't believe it... But it was true. I watched some girls who were allowed to go to Westlife just a minute before me. They tried to get some autographs of Westlife, and Westlife really wanted to write autographs. but then the bodyguards came, and guess what? They took the posters, and books of the fans, which they gave to Westlife for signing and put them back to the Fans. They were so cruel and unfriendly... Unbeviable...

So I did not even try to get an autograph. I mean, I already have some, but I cannot get enough of them :( I was only allowed to shake hands with them, which was not easy either *haha* Bryan gave me his hand, more or less friendly, smiling at me a little bit. Then there was Kian. I shook hands with him too, got a little smile, and I was already in front of Nicky. But where on earth does he look? Everywhere but not at me. *ah* I said: 'Hello!' No reaction. 'Nicky? Niiiiiicky'. Ah, the he looked and hold his hand straight in front of me. With a big smile on his face he asked 'Hey, how are you doing?' I was really surprised because he talked so clear, as normally every irish people says this sentence so fast, that it sounds like 'Hi du'. Okay, doesn't matter :)

I said 'Fine thanx' and smiled :) Then I shook hands with Shane, and Mark was already waiting for me with the biggest smile on his face I have ever seen. I also shook hands with him. What a lovely smiling guy :)
(You have to know, i love smiling people *ah*)

Then it was nearly over. I had to go straight down on the stairs after the Shake-Hand-Session, and I could not see them anymore. After me were about 200-300 Fans, who had also only been allowed to shake hands with the guys, and they made them im about 10 Minutes... They stand up, and went away on a floor higher than everybody else was. But you could see them from downstairs. they waved at the fans, and said good bye. Bryan, who had obviously finished work, immediately started to smoke a cigarette. Suddenly they disappeared, till 2 minuted later the secret was discovered. they had been on the men toilets *haha* Kian looked over the banisters, and so the others did. They all waved for a last time, and then disappeared through the backentrance, or something like that.

We drank something, but then, we had to drive home :( But it was an amazing day!
