Aber als es schliesslich soweit war, und ich um kurz nach halb 5 auf die Bühne zulief, musste ich erkennen, dass meine Sorgen nicht berechtigt waren. Es waren erst knapp 10 Fans da, von denen ich die Hälfte persönlich kannte. Ich gesellte mich zu Gianna, Steffie, Mareike und Kathrin in die erste Reihe, wo noch genug Platz für uns war. Meine Mutter und meine Schwester konnten sich ebenfalls noch ohne Probleme in die erste Reihe stellen. Wir begrüßten dann auch Sina, und ein paar andere Freundinnen von uns. Sina hatte den Securitys ihre Westlife+Brian CD gegeben, damit sie diese spielen und wir Fans sangen natürlich alle Lieder schon lauthals mit und die Stimmung war von Anfang an wirklich klasse. Irgendwann stellten wir fest dass Brian schon angekommen ist und sich hinter der Bühne rumtrieb. Fast geschlossen rannten alle Fans an die Absperrung zum Backstagebereich, aber Brian verkrümelte sich in einem Wagen. Da stellten wir uns wieder vor die Bühne und warteten weiter. Lange Zeit wurde es nicht wirklich voller hinter uns auf dem Altstadtmarkt. Durch eine Lücke konnte ich von meinem Platz aus genau in den Backstagebereich gucken, und sah dort Brian sitzen. Er saß auf einer Treppe und hatte die Hände gefaltet als würde er beten. Irgendwie süß =P Immerhin war es ja auch sein erster Solo-Auftritt in Deutschland, da war er bestimmt mächtig aufgeregt...

Aus einem Cafe neben der Bühne kamen 4 junge Männer heraus die mir irgendwie bekannt vorkamen. Ich grübelte noch und dachte, das könnte ja die Band sein, mit der Brian immer im TV auftritt. Aber hingegangen bin ich nicht. Es lief auch noch jemand dort rum von dem meine Mutter sagte, er sehe aus wie 'Lauri' von the Rasmus, weil er eine ähnliche Frisur hatte. Wie sich später herausstellte gehörte er zu der Band ZED, die auch im Rahmen des Festivals auftreten sollte.

Gegen halb 6 stellten wir fest, dass mittlerweile 4 oder 5 Reihen hinter uns standen und noch weitere Freunde von uns gekommen waren. Sie hatten sich die erste Show in Dortmund angesehen und erzählten gleich welche Songs Brian gesungen hat und wie es dort gewesen war.

Paul, der ja früher als Westlife Bodyguard gearbeitet hat, war diesmal bei Brian dabei und lief die ganze Zeit über die Bühne und bereite alles vor. Einmal riefen Mama und ich 'Hi Paul' und winkten. Da grinste er nur *lol* Hätte wohl nicht gedacht, dass man ihn erkennt =)

Um 6 Uhr fing die Show dann an, und schlagartig standen plötzlich hunderte von Menschen vor der kleinen Bühne - wo kamen die bloß alle her??
Die Moderatorin begrüßte die Fans, die wohl hauptsächlich Brian Fans waren. Man konnte Plakate für Brian sehen und die Fans riefen immer wieder 'Brian', wenn er z.B wieder einmal durch diese Lücke im Backstagebereich zu sehen war. Einmal winkte Brian sogar zurück.

Als erstes traten Alcazar auf. Eine Popgruppe aus Schweden, die 3 Songs sang, uner anderem 'Crying at the Discotheque'. Da viele Westlife Fans die Texte zu ihren Songs kannten, sangen sie brav mit und klatschten. Man kanns ja auch als 'schonmal warm machen' für Brian betrachten =) Alcazar sangen 3 Songs und tanzten dazu. Dann verliessen sie die Bühne, und fuhren gleich weg, da sie noch einen Termin in London haben würden. Als nächstes stand ein Quiz an, bei dem man eine Tasche gewinnen konnte. Dazu suchte man zwei Fans aus dem Publikum die gegeneinander antreten würden. Sina und ein anderes Mädchen wurden ausgewählt. Als Sina auf die Bühne ging jubelten wir alle, weil wir natürlich für sie waren. Am Ende stand es Gleichstand und eine Stechfrage wurde gestellt, bei der Sina gewann. Falls du das liest Sina: Hast du echt gut gemacht da oben =)

Dann gings weiter mit ein wenig Comedy. Onkel Fisch sangen einen Song über Griechen. Danach folgte die Rockgruppe ZED, deren Leadsänger uns ja schon bekannt vorkam *lol* Die Gruppe ist aus Neuseeland und war eigentlich gar nicht so schlecht... Die Songs waren rockig, und die Stimmung echt super!! Auch sie sangen 3 Songs. Dann kam nochmal Onkel Fisch und sie sangen ein Schlaflied... Aber darauf achtete niemand mehr, denn durch die Lücke zum Backstagebereich konnte man wieder Brian sehen, und seine Band. Brian ging auf und ab und rauchte eine Zigarette nach der anderen... Er schien reichlich nervös und aufgeregt zu sein. Aber auch gut drauf, weil er ziemlich viel lachte und rumblödelte, zumindest sah das so aus =P

Dann wurde er angesagt: Brian McFadden. Das Publikum begrüßte ihn mit lautem Jubeln und Gekreische - ganz wie bei den alten Westlife-Zeiten *lol* Brian began sofort mit seinem Song 'Women - Lose Lose Situation', der auch noch mein Lieblingssong ist von allen neuen Songs, die ich von Brian jetzt kenne. Da war ich natürlich megahappy *grins* Hab natürlich aus vollem Halse mitgegrölt und alle Fans haben geklatscht, gesungen und hatten eine Menge Spaß. Auch Brian auf der Bühne hatte seinen Spaß. Ich stand ja genau vor ihm in der ersten Reihe und hatte somit beste Sicht auf Brian =) Und es war einfach nur klasse, kann man nicht beschreiben, man muss dabei gewesen sein =) Man vergisst da alle anderen um sich rum und denkt Brian singt ganz alleine für einen =) Okay schön wärs... aber man darf ja mal träumen *haha*

Nach dem Song begrüßte Brian uns mit einigen deutschen Worten die ihm gerade so einfielen: Hallo; Wie gehts; Wir lieben euch... Er fragte noch ob wir alle englisch verstehen weil er gerne mit uns in englisch reden würde, da er leider kaum deutsch spricht. Als antwort kam natürlich nur ein lautes Jubeln *lol* Er nahm das mal als 'Ja' und laberte auf englisch weiter. Als nächstes kam 'Real to me'. Dabei brachte Paul Brian seine Gitarre, auf der übrigens ein blauer Smiley Sticker klebte... Was der wohl zu bedeuten hat? Brian spielte dann Gitarre und sang 'Real to me'. Zu diesem Song kannten natürlich noch mehr Leute den Text und so sangen wir noch lauter mit als bei 'Women'.

Dann sollte noch 'Auf wiedersehen Bitch' folgen und Brian sagte den Song selbst an. Er erzählte dass es in dem Song um eine Person aus Deutschland gehe, wir den Song aber nicht verallgemeinern sollten und dass er nicht über alle deutschen so denkt. Leider kannte ich zu dem Song nicht den ganzen Text, da es den Song ja auch im Netz noch nicht komplett gibt. Aber der Song war trotzdem genau richtig für das Festival und für mich. Schliesslich singt er ja deutsche Worte darin und außerdem erwähnt er noch die Stadt 'Düsseldorf', aus der ich ja komme. Wir hatten schon vor ein Plakat zu machen 'Düsseldorf grüßt Brian' oder so... Das haben wir dann doch nicht gemacht... Aber wir haben das Wort 'Düsseldorf' am lautesten mitgesungen von allen =) Bei dem Song ging Brian dann Richtig ab, ist über die Bühne gewirbelt, hat Luftgitarre gespielt, hat sich sonstwohin gepackt und ist herumgehopst und gesprungen. War lustig anzusehen wieviel Spaß er selbst auf der Bühne hatte, und natürlich auch die Fans vor der Bühne, die ebenfalls hüpften und lachten.

Nach dem Song verabschiedete sich brian mit einem kurzen 'Tschüß' und verschwand sofort hinter der Bühne. Alle Fans rannten dann links und rechts von der Bühne zu den Backstagebereichen. Ich ging nach als einzige nach links und meine Freunde nach rechts. Links tauchten nach nicht allzulanger Zeit ZED auf und verteilten Sticker und Anstecker und gaben auch Autogramme. Ich dachte wenn die hier auf diese Seite kommen, kommt Brian vielleicht danach auch hier her. Aber irgendwann gab ich die Hoffnung auf und ging auf die andere Seite. Wo Brian auch gerade fleissig am Autogramme schreiben war. Ich fand einige meiner Freundinnen, die auch schon ein Autogramm ergattert hatten. Ebenso meine Schwester. Ich wollte mich dann ins Getümmel werfen und auch ein Autogramm holen, aber Brian zog es vor genau in dem Moment in ein Auto zu steigen und wegzufahren. Er winkte noch zum Abschied und wir riefen ihm hinterher 'Auf Wiedersehen', aber das hat er wohl schon nicht mehr gehört...

Als Brian dann weg war, unterhielten wir uns noch mit ein paar anderen Leuten die wir kannte, aber vorher nicht gesehen hatten.Außerdem gingen wir noch mit ein paar Freundinnen was essen, da wir ja auch nicht alle aus der selben Stadt kommen und uns täglich sehen. Also muss man das auskosten, wenn wir sowieso mal alle zur selben Zeit am selben Ort sind =) Schade war nur dass jetzt schon alles vorbei war und wir dann auch bald nach Hause mussten - schliesslich war am nächsten Tag wieder Schule, und da sollte man ja besser halbwegs ausgeschlafen erscheinen. Wir waren dann auch schon um kurz nach 9 zuhause, aber schlafen konnte ich trotzdem erstmal nicht *lol*

Ich hätte zwar gerne ein Autogramm von Brian bekommen, aber für mich ist es auch kein Weltuntergang, dass ich keines bekommen habe. Ich habe schon mehrere Unterschriften von ihm und deshalb war ich nicht ganz so betrübt darüber dass er so bald weg musste. Ich finde es nämlich schon klasse von ihm, dass er überhaupt noch Autogramme gegeben hat, was Westlife nach ihren Gigs in Deutschland ja schon lange nicht mehr getan haben - oder hab ich da was verpasst?

Es hat sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt und ich hoffe Brian kommt bald wieder =)
Hoffe euch hat mein Review gefallen und ihr habt einen Eindruck davon bekommen, wie es in Recklinghausen gewesen ist =)

When I heard for the first time that Brian will come to germany and indeed close to where I live, I knew that I had to go there!
Sadly I has school until 3.30pm and I worried about how many fans will be there and if I might be able to get a good position in front of the stage, as the show was supposed to start at 6pm and I wouldn't be there until 4.30pm...

But when we were there eventually, I had to face the fact that all the worries had been causeless. There were about 10 fans waiting, and I knew half of them. I embraced Gianna, Steffie, Mareike and Kathrin who were standing in the front row. And there was even some more room for us, my mom, my sister and me - so that is how we got into the front row =) We also said hello to Sina, another friend of us. Sina gave her Westlife+Brian CD to a security and he played it. All the fans that were waiting in front of the stage at that time were there because of Brian, so they all knew the lyrics and sang along. The atmosphere was brilliant =) We were singing and chatting to each other until we realized that Brian arrived in the backstage area. Nearly all fans ran to the barrier to the backstage area to see Brian. But Brian went into a Caravan to give an Interview or something like that. So we went back to the stage. For a long time it didn't get filled up more than only the few people who were already there. Through a hole in the stage I was able to see Brian walking around in the Backstage Area. Then he sat down and fold his hands like he was praying. Bless him =) It was his very first solo-performance in germany, so I think he might have been a bot nervous =P

4 young man left a cafe beside the stage and I thought that somehow they look like someone I know. I reflected and realized eventually that these blokes belong to Brian's Band who play with him on stage at every TV appearance and live performance. But I didn't went to talk to them and soon they went back into the backstage area. A few minutes later my mum told me she had seen a boy who looks like 'Lauri' from 'The rasmus' because he has a similar haircut. We later realized that it was the lead singer of ZED who performed on stage as well...

At about 5.30 we realized that a few rows of people are now standing behind us, and that another few friends of us had arrived. They had seen the same show in Dortmund, 3 hours ago and told us which songs Brian is going to sing and that it was fantastic there.

Paul Higgings, a former westlife bodyguard accompanied Brian and he appeared on the stage every now and then. Once my mum and me yelled: 'Paul' and we waved. A surprised Paul smiled back =) I don't think he would have guessed that someone knows who he is =P

At 6pm the show started, and suddenly hundrets of people were standing in front of the stage - how did they all got there for god's sake?
The moderator said 'Hello' to the fans, which were made up mostly of Brian Fans *lol* You could see banners for Brian and all the fans continual cried: 'Brian', like every thime when you could see him again through the hole in the stage. At one time, Brian even waved back to the fans =)

The first act on stage was Alcazar, a popgroup from sweden. They did 3 songs, and one was 'Crying at the discotheque'. Many Westlife fans (okay, Brian fans), knew the lyrics to the songs and so they sang along and clapped their hands - to warm up for Brian *haha* They did 3 songs and danced a lot. Then they left the stage and jumped into their car to drive to the airport. The moderator told the audience they have an urgent meeting in london. Then the moderator said they are going to make a quiz and the winner will get a bag. Two girls from the audience were casted to play against each other. One of these girls was Sina and the other girl I didn't know. When Sina went on stage everybody cheered at her, because she knew a lot of the Brian fans and we all supported her =) In the end both girls answered exactly the same numbers of questions right, so they had to have a play-off, which Sina won. If you read this, Sina: You did a good job on stage =)

Then the show went on with some comedy. Onkel Fisch sang a song about greek people. Then the rock group ZED followed, whose lead singer still remembered us of 'Lauri' *lol* The group is from New Zewland and was really good... The songs were really rocky and the atmosphere was great. They did 3 songs as well and then for another time Onkel Fisch did some comedy, trying to make the audience sleep by singing a lullaby. But nobody was interested in them as you could see Brian and his band through the hole in the stage. Brian went to and fro and smoked one cigarette after another. He really seemed nervous and excited. But enjoying himself as well, as he was laughing and fooling around as well.

Then the moderator announced him: Brian McFadden. The audience welcomed Brian with a loud cheering and shrieking - just like in the good old westlife times =) So Brian started to sing his song 'Women - Lose Lose Situation', my personal favourite song of all the new Brian songs that I know so far =) Of course I sang along to the lyrics as loud as I could and all the fans applauded and sang as well. They had a great time I think, and so had Brian! I was standing right in front of him in the front row and I had the best view on Brian, which i was enjoying very much!! It was just perfect, but I cannot describe the atmosphere almost as good as it was. You must have been there to know how great it was. It was just like forgetting all the fans around me and brian singing only for me... Okay, not really, but I am allowed to dram, am I?

After the song Brian welcomed us with a few german words, which might be all he knows in german: 'Hallo' (=Hello); 'Wie geht's?' (=How are you); 'Wir lieben euch' (=We love you)... Er asked if we all understand english, because he cannot speak in german and would like to talk to us in english. The answer as a loud cheering and he took it as a 'yes' and went on in english. The next song was 'Real to me' and Paul brought Brian his guitar - on which by the way a blue smiley label was pasted. I don't know why, but it looked sweet =) Brian began to play the guitar and started to sing. To this song even more fans knew the lyrics, so they all sang along and the audience was louder that during the first song.

The next song was 'Auf wiedersehen Bitch' which Brian announced himself. He told us that the song is about a person from germany, but we shouldn't take the song personal and generalize it, because he only meant one particular girl and doesn't think that every german girls are like that. I only knew a short excerpt from the song, so I didn't know all the lyrics, but never the less the song was very perfect for the festival and for me. Because he sang german words in it, and because he mentions the city 'Düsseldorf' and that is where I live =) We wanted to do a banner with the text: 'Düsseldorf greets Brian' but in the end we didn't do it. But you can bet we sang the word 'Düsseldorf' especially loud =) During that song Brian was really on a high. He ran all over the stage, played airguitar and grabbed himself into his 'great balls'. It was really funny to see how much he enjoyed himself on stage and it rubbed off on the fans as well, who were jumping and laughing.

After the song he said goodbye with a 'tschüß' (=bye) and disappeared behind the stage. All the fans ran to to barriers at the backstage area. But the problem was some of the fans ran to the left site, and some to the other. I went to the left site, and my mom and my friends to the right one. After a few minuted ZED appeared on the left side, where I was. And I thought that maybe Brian will come to this site as well. ZED gave autographs, and distributed buttons and labels to the fans. After a few minutes I went to the other site and realized Brian was giving autographs there. Some of my friends were there and they already had an autograph, as well as my sister. Si I wanted to try my luck and went into the direction where Brian was. But Brian prefered to get into a car and drive off. He waved as farewell and we shouted at him 'Auf wiedersehen', but we don't think he heard that anymore...

After Brian left we talked to a lot of people who we haven't seen for ages. And we went to Mc Donalds with a some friends. We don't see each other daily because we don't live in the same city, so we wanted to spent some more time with them. But it was sad to know that it was all over now and that we have to go home very soon.
I should have school the next day, so we went back very early, and arrived back home at 9pm.

I would have liked an autograph of Brian as well, but for me it was not too evil, that I didn't got one this time. I have several autographs of him already, so for me it was not the end of the world... And I really appreciate it that he gave autographs, because every time westlife are in germany and I am there at the gig, they don't do it! So: Brownie point for brian =)

It was really worth it and I hope Brian will come back soon! I hope you like the review and can imagine now how great it has been in Recklinghausen =)
